Obituary for Alice I. Hudon (Grondine)
Alice I. (Grondine) Hudon, age 75, a resident of Lowell, formerly of Dracut, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Thursday, July 7, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald A. Hudon with whom she enjoyed 33 years of marriage before his passing in September 2000.
She was born in Lowell on September 16, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Leo and Annette (Roy) Grondine.
Alice graduated from Dracut High School. She owned and operated Don’s Varity store for many years before going to work at Notini. She worked in the customer service department until her retirement in August of 2015. Alice enjoyed crafting, playing bingo, ceramics and watching the New England Patriots. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Alice is survived by her son, Michael Hudon and his wife Susan of Dracut; grandchildren, Kevin Hudon and his fiancé Brittany Brown of Danville, NH and Jennifer Hudon of Dracut; her great grandchildren, Kevin Michael Hudon Jr. and Sophia Marie Hudon; her brother Leo Grondine and his wife Maryann; her nephew Arthur Grondine and his wife Alison; and her niece Leann Trevethan and her husband Scott.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 12th from 4pm to 8pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10am at St. Mary Magdalen Parish, 95 Lakeview Ave., Tyngsboro. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
