Obituary for Anita M. Dussault

Anita (Lemieux) Dussault, age 87, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis V. “Duke” Dussault with whom she shared 26 years of marriage until his passing.

Anita was born in Lowell on May 9, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Albert J. and Anita (Geoffroy) Lemieux.

She was raised and educated in Lowell, before going to work in the Lowell Mills. She owned and operated a home daycare before settling into her long-term career as a dietician for Town and Country Nursing Home. Anita was a loving mother and took great pride in her home. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially having tea-time with her granddaughters. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, gardening, crafting, bowling, and floral arranging. She had a wonderful singing voice, and a talent for singing opera. Most of all, Anita cherished the time she spent with her family.

Anita leaves her children, Diane (Dube) Suprenant of Dracut, Eileen L. Dube of Lowell, and Kevin K. Dube and his wife Michelle of Londonderry, NH; her grandchildren, Lauren Dube and her boyfriend Ben Stewart of NH, Renee Weiser and her husband Brad of NY, and Scott Suprenant of Freemont, NH; her great-grandchildren, Madison Sophia Flynn, Eleanor Mae Stewart, Amelia Anita Weiser, Audrey Claire Weiser, and Chase Suprenant; and her siblings Claudette A. Houle of Dracut, and Maurice J. Lemieux and Vicky Sullivan of Hudson, FL. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Sadly, she was predeceased by her brothers Joseph R.G. “Jimmy” Lemieux of South San Francisco, CA and Albert J. Lemieux, Jr. of Dracut.

Funeral services and interment were held privately.
