Obituary for Beverly Ann Gardner (Newell)
Beverly A. (Newell) Gardner, age 77, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away at Holy Family Hospital on Saturday, July 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Myles Gardner with whom she enjoyed 56 years of marriage.
She was born in Boston on October 4, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy (Sheppard) Newell.
Beverly grew up in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. After graduation she moved to Wilmington. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching old movies, going out to dinner, and vacationing to Daytona and Old Orchard Beach. She loved her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her loving husband, Beverly is survived by her four children, Beverly Zatowski and her husband Michael, Jennifer Carroll, David Gardner and his wife Laurie, and Kristin Whittemore and her husband Jason; her grandchildren, Heather Jussaume, Ethan Zatowski, Conor and Sinead Carroll, Joseph Gardner and his fiancé Sabrina, Molly Manter and her husband Walter, Jared Whittemore and his wife Meaghan, Katie Whittemore, Alex Giordano, and Brook Whittemore; her great-grandchildren, Shayla, Nathan, and Riley; and the Berry and Gardner families.
Beverly is predeceased by her parents, her sister, Barbara Berry, her brother, Frank Newell, Jr., and her son-in-law John Carroll.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday July 28th from 5pm to 8pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10am at First Church of the Nazarene, 1195 Varnum Ave., Lowell. Kindly meet at Church. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
