Obituary for Beverly Ann Wasik (Boucher)

Beverly was born in Lowell on March 13, 1938, a daughter of the late Charles and Katherine (Newhall) Boucher.

She graduated from St Patrick’s High School in Lowell. One of her proudest accomplishments was receiving her nursing diploma from St. Joseph School of Nursing. Beverly loved being a nurse and carried that empathy with her even after she retired.

She spent the greatest 65 years of her life with her beloved husband Peter, in the home that they built together. Beverly loved to spend summer weekends at Lake Winnipesaukee, especially at Lake Shore Park. The winter doldrums were erased with their annual visits to Aruba which was arguably her favorite place in the world.

Beverly was such an avid reader that strangers would search out her used books for the cryptic critiques found within the cover. When she was not reading she was walking, if not through the neighborhood then on her treadmill.

When life threw Peter a curve, Beverly was instrumental in helping him start a new business, Wasik Associates, which is in its third generation and continues to thrive to this day.

Beverly would agree her greatest accomplishment is her 3 children, their spouses, her eight grandchildren and her 10 great grandchildren, who all loved her dearly. She will be sorely missed.

Survived by her children: Kathy Ricciardi and her husband Bob of Dracut, Peter Wasik and his wife Sharon of Dracut, Krissy Gollihur and her husband Chris of Tewksbury; Her grandchildren: Stacy Sanzo and her husband Chris, Stephanie Kaufmann and her husband Gavin, Tom Wasik and his wife Michelle, Bobby Ricciardi and his wife Jordan, Zach Durand and his wife Staci, Jillian Montgomery and her husband Tyler, Ben Durand and his wife Brittany, and Stella Gollihur; Great grandchildren Tommy, Zoey, Brooklynn, Henry, Nora, Sammy, Leena, Braden, Rocky and Isla. Her brother Tony Boucher and his wife Eleanor, her sister-in-law Diann and her husband Frank Majewski; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was pre-deceased by her brother Richard Boucher.

Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, July 27 from 9 - 11am at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 95 Lakeview Ave in Tyngsborough at 12pm. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
