Obituary for Bobby N. Dean

Bobby N. Dean, age 60, a longtime resident of Dracut and Lowell passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Monday February 27, 2022; his three best friends by his side.

He was born in Lowell on September 20, 1961.

Bobby had a great sense of humor and loved to sing learning songs quickly. Bobby loved to dance and would run everywhere. He would create cute nick names for the people in his life – a sweet trait that he will be remembered for. Bobby loved to collect things! Everyone that met him really loved him and if Bobby liked you, then he loved you. Bobby remembered everyone.

Bobby lived for years in Group residences in Lowell, but he wanted more. He discovered Shared Living and moved into two wonderful family homes before he found his forever home living with his friend Cecilia and her family and especially loved Cecilia’s husband, David. Bobby was truly happy.

Bobby is survived by his dear friend, Cecilia Jamina, her husband David Fofanah, their daughter Danika, and her niece Florence; his dear friend of over 30 years, Gail “Carol” Bartlett, her husband Duncan, their large extended family, especially the kids who he always had time to sing, laugh and play with as he did with Jamie Nazzaro and Balloon Volley games; and his friends from DDS, NEEDS, LifeLinks and Shared Living Collaborative. A special thank you to the Lowell General Hospital Staff from ICU1 for the care and compassion they showed Bobby.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 11th from 3pm to 6pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. A prayer service will be held at 5:30 pm. Interment will be held privately. Services will be available to view via Live Stream. Please click on the button below the obituary at the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobby’s memory to LIVE & LEARN Education, Inc., c/o Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union, PO Box 1238, Lowell, MA 01853. LIVE & LEARN Education partners with Middlesex Comunity College to provide non credit classes for adults with developmental disabilities. It was a program that Bobby attended and loved.
