Obituary for Brian H. Smith
Brian H. Smith, age 61, a resident of Lawrence, passed away at Lawrence General Hospital on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Lowell on August 31, 1961 and was the son of the late Glenn J. and Doris (LaPointe) Smith.
He worked diligently for the IRS for 37 years. In his downtime he enjoyed food, animals, coloring, and most importantly, talking with family and friends. He also spent time serving as a Eucharistic Minister for Saint Jeanne D'Arc Church and was a volunteer for the Julie Center for HIV/AIDS.
Brian is survived by his sister Dianne Fries (Smith), his brother Ronald Smith, his PCA (nephew) Sean Renaud, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He is joined in the afterlife by his sisters, Kathleen Hamilton (Smith) and Cynthia Golas (Smith).
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 30th from 4pm to 7pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9am at St. Rita Church, 158 Mammoth Rd., LOWELL. Interment will follow in Lowell Cemetery, LOWELL.
