She was born in Lowell on December 24, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Cognac) Ducharme.

Celine was a home daycare provider for several years, touching endless young lives. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She had wonderful memories of trips to Disney, Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, and weekends at Beacon Resort in Lincoln, NH with friends and family. As a Christmas Eve baby, Christmas was her favorite and she loved decorating for the holidays. Her family and friends always looked forward to her seasonal decorations. She enjoyed making puzzles, having yard sales, and setting up at local flea markets. Celine moved to Florida in 2004 and was active in her community. She belonged to a sewing club and a charitable organization in Cypress Lakes until she moved back to Massachusetts in 2020. She will be dearly missed.

Celine is survived by her children, Steven Matte and his wife Sherri of Venice, FL, Michael Matte and his wife Vilma of Dracut, and Christopher Matte and his significant other Samantha Matthews of Pelham, NH; her sister Priscilla Hadley and her husband William of North Chelmsford; her sister-in-law Linda Crook; and several nieces and nephews.
Celine is predeceased by her former husband Andrew Matte, whom she remained great friends with after 45 years of marriage; her brother Denis Ducharme Sr. and her sister Rachel Ducharme.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 10th at 10am at St. Marguerite D’Youville, 1340 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. KINDLY MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to a charity of your choice.
