Obituary for Christos Charles Couturier

Christos Charles Couturier of Lowell passed away peacefully on July 11, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 10, 1998 to Linda (Pagones) Couturier and Kevin Couturier of Lowell.

Christos attended the Abraham Lincoln School in Lowell during his elementary years and the LABBB Collaborative where he attended the Chenery Middle School in Belmont and Lexington High School until he graduated with the class of 2020. While at Lexington High he worked at Omar’s World of Comics in Lexington under the guidance of Alicia Santoro Ledoux.

Christos was a shining light to so many with a smile that would make anyone near him smile. He was involved with the Special Olympics, running the 50- and 100-meter dash. Christos was also a Patient Partner with the Miles for Miracles program with Boston Children’s Hospital. He attended every Boston Marathon for 15 years and was the recipient of the Katie Lynch Award. This award is presented to an individual who demonstrates a positive spirit, love for life and commitment to others.

Christos was an avid Bruins fan and loved attending as many Bruins Alumni games possible. While sitting with the team during games and in the locker room during half time, they would call him coach and ask him for strategies. He became known as “Coach”. In 2022 he was inducted into the Bruins Alumni Hall of Fame as an Honorary Inductee.

Christos also loved playing baseball for the Patriot League in Chelmsford and the Westford Heroes League. He loved watching WWE, SpongeBob, Three Stooges and Western movies with his Dad and brothers. He loved his rides to the beach with his Grammie and Mom to get his square pizza and look for whales using his binoculars.

In addition to his parents, Christos leaves his three loving brothers, Stephen Murphy of Lowell, Joe Couturier and his partner Andre Ouellette of Haverhill, and Andrew Couturier of Lowell; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Morin Pagones of Dracut; his aunt, Kathy Pagones O’Neill and her husband Paul of North Andover; his uncles, Tom Pagones and his wife Lisa of Dracut, and Michael Pagones of Dracut; and his aunts, JoAnne Couturier Norton of Pembroke, Alice Couturier Ford of Lakewood, CO, and Mary Couturier Dio of Plymouth. He also leaves his very much-loved nephew, Clash Fenway Murphy, his nieces, Fiona Jane Murphy and Kennedy Julianna Murphy, and his loving kitty, Frank.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather Christos Pagones.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 16th from 1pm to 5pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. His Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10am at the Funeral Home.
