Obituary for David Patrick Whittaker

David Patrick Whittaker, age 45, a resident of Dracut, tragically passed away at the Lahey Clinic, from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident on Sunday, July 24th 2022. He was the loving and devoted son of Barbara M. (Skehan) Whittaker and the late Frank J. Whittaker.

He was born in Boston on July 29, 1976. David grew up in the Belvidere section of Lowell and attended Lowell public schools and Bishop Guertin High School. David was working as a Sales Consultant for Infinity of Nashua. He was very well liked and admired by his coworkers and he was a phenomenal salesman. David was athletic and adventurous, he was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, photography, and trips to Cape Cod.

David will be remembered as a man who loved his family and friends, for his keen ability to navigate a conversation, for his sense of humor and his distinct laugh.

In addition to his mother, David is survived by his two brothers; Kevin Whittaker and Keith Whittaker and his wife Kimberley, of Nashua, his aunt, Brenda Kotarba and her husband Robert Kotarba, his uncles Thomas Whittaker and his wife Eileen, and Robert Montgomery. He also leaves behind his nieces, several cousins and his beloved dog Lola.

David is predeceased by his father and aunt, Patricia Montgomery

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 31st from 2pm to 5pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 115 Wheeler Rd., Dracut. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
