Obituary for Doris Monty (Goyette)
Doris (Goyette) Monty, age 86, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lowell on April 17, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Leo and Eva (Hamilton) Goyette.
Doris worked as a CNA at a local hospital and rehabilitation facility. She liked spending time with her friends playing bingo, cards, scrabble, and cribbage. Most of all, Doris cherished time at her home surrounded by her family. She loved hosting Christmas and outdoor barbeques at her home and cooking for her loved ones.
Doris is survived by her children, Carol Basnett and her husband Ronny of Dracut, Stephen Nickles and his significant other Lori of Pittsfield, Donald Monty and his wife Irene of Marlboro, and Tammy Monty and her husband Carl of Dracut; her grandchildren, Dawn, Melissa, Krystal, Julien, Amanda, Holly, Renee, Jennifer, Kimberly, and Lori; many great-grandchildren; her brother, Leo Goyette of Pelham, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, sadly she is predeceased by her daughter, Paula Tovet, her grandson, Stephen, and her sister, Theresa Graham.
Funeral service and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at lls.org.
