Obituary for Henry Stanley Wojcik

Henry S. Wojcik, age 80, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at D’Youville Life and Wellness Community, Lowell, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Lowell on March 1, 1942 and was a son of the late Henry and Alice (Olszanski) Wojcik.

Henry was raised in Lowell and attended Greater Lowell Technical High School and Merrimack College. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Henry worked in senior technical support for Raytheon for 32 years until his retirement. In his spare time, Henry enjoyed photography, golfing, and traveling. After the US Constitution had its major restoration, Henry was aboard as the ship sailed through Massachusetts.

Henry leaves his siblings, Patricia Sheehy, Nancy Desilet, and Robert Wojcik; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and his great friend and neighbor Dennis White.

Sadly, he is predeceased by his companion Nancy Shannon.

Henry’s family is grateful for the compassion, love, and great care he received at D’Youville Life and Wellness Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 10 am at St. Rita’s Parish, 158 Mammoth Rd., Lowell. KINDLY GATHER AT THE CHURCH. Interment to follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell. Visiting hours have been omitted. Memorial donations may be made in Henry’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
