Obituary for Jeanne M. LeBlanc (Ostiguy)

Jeanne M. LeBlanc passed away at the age of 81 on Friday, February 10, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She graduated from Lowell High School in 1959 and studied Finance & Economics at Lowell Technological Institute. She enjoyed a successful career which began at First Bank and Trust in Chelmsford where she proudly became one of their first female bank officers. After more than 25 years in banking Jeanne worked for Comcast until she retired in 1997. Jeanne was a long-term resident of Dracut who was instrumental in the establishment of the Dracut Garden Club, and a talented craftswoman who participated in the Dracut Craft Fair for many years. In addition, Jeanne was also a member of the Hudson VFW Auxiliary Post 5791.

A nurturing woman by nature, she was a motherly friend to many. She loved baking and party planning, day trips and vacations, family gatherings and time spent with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Born in Lowell on August 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Henri J. Ostiguy and Mary V. (Roper) Ostiguy. She is survived by her loving husband of more than 51 years, John J. LeBlanc; her devoted daughter, Nicole E. LeBlanc of Dracut; granddaughter, Hailey S. Deaton of Englewood, FL; two brothers, Robert J. Ostiguy and his wife Katherine of Watertown, and John H. Ostiguy of Verplanck, NY. She also leaves behind her cousin, Barbara (Ostiguy) Sullivan of Port Orange, FL; her sisters, Katherine (LeBlanc) Ouellette and her husband David of Pelham, NH, and Mary (LeBlanc) Martin and her husband Paul of Eloy, AZ; Paul LeBlanc and his wife Nancy of TX; as well as many nephews and nieces, close friends, and extended family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. She will be laid to rest with her parents on Saturday February 18, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the chapel at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Rd., CHELMSFORD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to be sent to the MSPCA at MSPCA as Jeanne was an avid animal lover.
