Obituary for Judith Anne Mealey (Davidson)
Judith A. (Davidson) Mealey, age 81, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away at the Westford House on Thursday, December 22, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Mealey Sr. with whom she enjoyed 59 years of marriage.
She was born in Lowell on July 3, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Armour and Daurice (McArdle) Davidson.
Judy graduated from Dracut High School in 1959. Prior to marrying Richard “Dick” in 1963 she was employed by Union National Bank. She raised her family in Dracut. Judy went to work full time at St Joseph’s Hospital in Lowell in 1978, where she met many dear friends. She retired from Saints Medical Center in Lowell in 2006. After retirement Judy was able to focus on her truest joy, her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at York Beach Maine.
In addition to her loving husband, Judith is survived by her daughter, Kelley Tierney and her husband Michael of Lowell; her daughter in law Doreen (Gehalo) Mealey of Raymond NH; her son Jeffrey Mealey of Sugarhill NH; her brothers Armour (Jerry) Davidson Jr and his wife Carol of Dracut and John (Jack) Davidson and his wife Patty of Lowell; her grandchildren Erin Mealey, E. Mealey, Carter Mealey, Heather Wilson, Emily Tierney, Samuel Mealey, Eliza Tierney and Zachary Tierney; her great grandchildren Lola and Milo Mealey. She was also honored to fill in as Nana to her nephews Steven Davidson and Andrew Davidson of Lowell. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Sadly, in addition to her parents, Judith was predeceased by her son Richard A. Mealey Jr who died in 2017.
