Obituary for Laurette E. Driscoll (Parent)

Laurette E. (Parent) Driscoll, age 76, a current resident of Hudson, NH and a long-time resident of Lowell passed away at her home on November 5, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of David Driscoll whom she enjoyed 52 beautiful years of marriage.

She was born in Dracut on May 26, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Paul and Ella (Benoit) Parent.

Laurette grew up in Dracut and was a graduate of Saint Joseph’s High School. She worked for the IRS as a tax examiner for many years before her retirement in 2009. Laurette enjoyed going on family trips, spending summers at Lake Shore Park in Gilford, NH, traveling, and being at the beach. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler, belonging to a duckpin bowling league, she continued to bowl for many years and even had David join her on the couple’s league. She sang in the St. Margaret’s choir for over forty years, and even traveled to Rome to sing for the Pope. Laurette cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband David, Laurette is survived by her children, Christine Wright and her husband Jay of Chester, NH, Bridget Golden and her husband Peter of Dracut, Timothy Driscoll and his wife Lisa of Hollis, NH and Elizabeth Johnson and her husband Fred of Boxford; her seven grandchildren, Erin, Chase, Ryan, Maggie, Aidan, Marin, and Annabelle; her brother Paul Parent and his wife Sue of Dracut; her niece Alison Roussos; her nephew Bryan Parent; her godson Stephen Benoit; and many close friends and several cousins.

Laurette and her family would like to thank Drs. Rabinowitz and Baur, Kathleen (Kat) McConnell, NP, and Mo Keovongsa, PA and their team at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center for their remarkable care through this most difficult time.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 9th from 4pm to 7pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave. Dracut. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, 374 Stevens St. Lowell on Thursday morning at 10am. KINDLY GATHER AT CHURCH. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
