Lorraine P. Sawyer, age 92, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away at The Inn at Fairview on Thursday, April 14, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard T. Sawyer Sr., whom she enjoyed over 50 years of marriage with before his passing.

She was born in Lowell on July 9, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche (Brunelle) Dupont.

Lorraine graduated from Lowell High School in 1947. Her greatest joy was raising her family. Lorraine loved traveling with her husband. She enjoyed going on cruises and going to the beach, especially Cape Cod. When she wasn’t traveling, she cherished her time spent with her family and their many friends.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Daniel P. Sawyer of Hudson, NH, and Sandra McCartin and her husband David of Hudson, NH; her brother, Henry Dupont and his wife Myrna Dupont, NC; her daughter-in-law, Donna Sawyer of Nashua, NH; her 3 grandchildren, Jordyn Descoteaux, Olivia Descoteaux, and Matthew McCartin.

In addition to her husband, Lorraine is predeceased by her children, Richard Jr., Thomas, and Jo-Ann; and her siblings, Richard Dupont and Rita Perry.

Funeral Services and Interment will be held privately.
