Obituary for Marina Gizelis
Marina Gizelis, age 54, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Montreal, Canada on March 27, 1969 and was the beloved daughter of Lukas and Helene (Stavros) Gizelis.
Marina enjoyed going to the movies and visiting Hampton and Salisbury Beach. An animal lover, she adored her cat Chloe whom she enjoyed for 15 years. She loved cooking and her favorite color was fuchsia. More than anything, she was dedicated to her family and cherished every moment spent with them.
In addition to her loving parents, Marina is survived her children, Peter Gizelis of Lowell, and Alexia Crump of Lowell; her siblings, Georgia Gizelis of Lowell, and Sotirios Gizelis and his wife Jennifer of Simsbury CT; her nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Lukas, Sophia, and Ellen Gizelis; and her godson, Khalil Gizelis.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5th from 8am to 9am at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 62 Lewis St., Lowell, followed by her Funeral Service at 9am. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
