Obituary for Maurice R. "Moe" Demers
Maurice “Moe” Demers, age 64, a resident of Litchfield, NH, passed away at Granite VNA Hospice House on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne (Lacroix) Demers with whom he enjoyed 40 years of marriage.
He was born in Lowell on April, 24, 1958 and was the son of Cecile (Levasseur) Demers and the late Maurice Demers.
Moe grew up in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School. He was a man of many talents; he was an electrician, worked in home security installation, construction, woodworking, and was even a volunteer fireman for 5 years in Tyngsboro. He worked for the Colonial Gas Company for 15 years and then for Align Credit Union as the AVP of Purchasing, Facilities, and Security for 16 years. He enjoyed watching television, camping, traveling, learning about new technology, researching World War II information, and he loved model trains and pickup trucks.
In addition to his loving wife, Moe is survived by his son, Ryan P. Demers of Nashua, NH; his mother, Cecile of Hudson, NH; his sister, Laurie Carkin and her husband Scott of Ogunquit, ME; his brother-in-law, Tony Lacroix and his wife Mary Ann of Bedford, NH; and his two nephews, Nick and Adam Lacroix of Bedford, NH.
He is predeceased by his father, Maurice and his sister, Lisa.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, October 1st from 2pm to 4pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Interment will be private.
