Obituary for Michael B. Peasley

Michael B. Peasley, age 36, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

He was born in Dracut on July 18, 1985 and was the son of Bruce Peasley and his wife Bobbi Field Peasley.

Michael graduated from Dracut High School in 2004 and worked as an electrician with his uncle and cousins. In 2008, he suffered a traumatic brain injury that nearly took his life. What followed was years of recovery in which Michael worked tirelessly to overcome countless obstacles. Throughout this long process, Michael maintained his sense of humor, his courage, and his determination. He was also selflessly supported by countless friends and family including his Aunt Beth Motta, whose expertise, love and support was invaluable. Later, Michael worked with speech therapists at Emerson College, an experience which he cherished. Michael was a talented artist and musician and loved watching movies and Patriots games. He had many happy years after his injury enjoying fishing, hunting, camping, vacationing, and (most of all) giving everyone a hard time.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his aunts and uncles, James Peasley, John Peasley, Joyce Peasley, Arthur Heusser, Chrissy Quinn, William Quinn, Sonya Farley, Buddy Farley and Diane Clausen; his cousins, Mark and Craig Heusser, Brian Peasley and John Peasley Jr., Seth Farley, and Ryan Quinn; dear friends Brian and Michelle Gagnon; and his grandmothers, Barbara Field and her husband Paul Gabriella, Barbara Walsh, and Rosemary Clausen.

Michael is predeceased by his grandmother, Iris Peasley.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday April 28, from 4 to 7 pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. A short graveside service will be held Friday April 29, at 11 am at Westlawn Cemetery, 215 Boston Rd., LOWELL.
