Obituary for Patricia Ann Dion (Ransom)
Patricia Ann (Ransom) Dion, age 69, a longtime resident of Dracut, MA and current resident of Pelham, NH, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 30, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of William K. Dion with whom she enjoyed 42 years of marriage.
She was born in Dracut on March 20, 1952 and was the daughter of the late Lyle E. and Loraine (Reeves) Ransom. Pat grew up in Dracut and graduated from Dracut High School in 1970. She spent her career as a dental assistant, before retiring in 2015.
She married Bill on October 27, 1979, exactly one year from the day they met. She loved gardening and filling her window-sills with plants. She loved the beach and being by the ocean. She enjoyed spending time at her home in Pelham with her grandchildren, Thomas and Lana, who were her pride and joy. She spent summers with her “camp family” at Silver Lake Campground in Belmont, NH, and her winters in Oldsmar, FL. Pat was a kind, fun and beautiful soul who was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed by all.
In addition to her loving husband, Pat is survived by her children, William J. Dion and his wife Amy of Pelham, NH and Carrie Jenkins and her husband Kyle of Pelham, NH; her grandchildren, Thomas and Lana Jenkins; her four sisters Mary and Daniel Fox, Sandra and Gerard Cahalane, Jean Ransom and Daniel Sullivan, and Jane and Peter Murphy; and two brothers David and Gail Ransom, and James Ransom; as well as many close friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Lyle C. Ransom.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will take place at a future date.
