Obituary for Paul W. Bouchard

Paul W. Bouchard, age 85, a resident of North Hampton, NH, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence A. (Raymond) Bouchard with whom he enjoyed 34 years of marriage until her passing in 1999.

He was born in Cambridge on May 31, 1937 and was the son of the late Wilfred and Alice (Belanger) Bouchard.

Paul graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School, class of 1955. He worked at several companies, fine tuning and perfecting his skills developed over his lifelong career as a master machinist. He eventually settled at General Radio where he worked as a Precision Production Machinist for 32 years before retiring in 1996. He was a passionate fan of NASCAR and the New England Patriots.

In his early years Paul spent much time with his family traveling and camping with their trailer at campgrounds all over New England. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed trips to Tucson, AZ and traveling the state enjoying remarkable sights that he spoke of repeatedly. He eventually moved to Tucson, AZ where he settled in and made many friends, spending twenty years there enjoying his life. Paul discovered the art of turning wood, and he applied his machinist skills and expertise to the craft of woodworking. He spent countless hours designing and hand turning each work of art and was very proud of each finished piece he created. He moved back to New England in September 2022 to be closer to family and lived in North Hampton, NH.

Paul is survived by his children, Debra Doyle of Dracut, Cheryl Alves and her husband Mark of Coventry, RI, Cathy Nelson of Greenfield, Paula Bouchard and her wife Donna Dalton of Lowell, Dennis Bouchard of Turners Falls, and Denise Bouchard of Turners Falls; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves his loving partner of 5 years, Arlene Ouimet of North Hampton, NH.

In addition to his wife and parents, sadly he is predeceased by his son, Thomas A. Ryan, Lance Corporal, USMC, and his son-in-law, David Megowen.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd from 4pm to 7pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10am at St. Rita’s Parish, 158 Mammoth Rd, Lowell. KINDLY MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment will be held privately.
