Obituary for Roy A LaDuke
DRACUT – Roy A. LaDuke, age 81, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Thursday, March 17, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Eileen E. (Hamel) LaDuke with whom he enjoyed 52 years of marriage.
He was born in Shrewsbury on April 20, 1940 and was the son of the late George LaDuke and Marion (Nelson) Freitas.
Roy grew up in Lowell and graduated from Lowell Trade School. He was an electrician for 37 years at Pellon in Lowell and after retiring he worked for Stalco in Lowell for 7 years. Roy enjoyed doing puzzles, building model cars, and watching the Red Sox.
In addition to his loving wife, Roy is survived by his children, LeeAnn Pfeiffer and her husband Thomas of Dracut, and David LaDuke and his husband Jeremy of Edmond, Oklahoma; his grandson, Justin LaDuke of Lawrence; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his loving parents, Roy is predeceased by his daughter, Darlene F. LaDuke; and his siblings, George LaDuke, Wilbur LaDuke, and Joan D’Arezzo.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 21st from 4pm to 7pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10am in the funeral home. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 90 River Rd., Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kitty Angels, Inc., PO Box 638, Tyngsboro, MA 01879.
