Obituary for Ruth A. Wasylak (Dery)
Ruth A. (Dery) Wasylak, age 95, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away at her home on Thursday, February 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Thaddeus Wasylak with whom she enjoyed 51 years of marriage until his passing in 1998.
She was born in Lowell on June 14, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Corbeil) Dery.
Ruth worked as a solderer at Computervision in Bedford for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed making puzzles, reading, playing bingo, and taking trips to Foxwoods.
She is survived by her children, Michael Wasylak and his wife Joyce of Summerfield, FL, and Peter Wasylak and his wife Maureen of Dunstable; her grandchildren, Randy Wasylak and his wife Jennifer of Bedford, NH, Bradley Wasylak and his wife Mandi of Dallas, TX, and Jenna Wasylak and her wife Jessica Broccoli of Tempe, AZ; her great grandchildren, Jordan, Cameron, and Kenley; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her loving husband and parents, Ruth is predeceased by her siblings, Maurice Dery, Mary Howard, Laura Bourassa, Henry Dery, Doris Howard, and Rose Boucher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 1st at 11am at St. Marguerite D’Youville, 1340 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chelmsford.
