Obituary for Sylvia A. Colon (Lennerton)
Sylvia Anne (Lennerton) Colon ,74, passed away on the evening of February 4th, 2022 peacefully. Sylvia was born in Springfield VT on June 29, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Harold Lennerton and Eris (Lockwood) Lennerton.
Sylvia was a long time resident of Pepperell MA. She enjoyed attending church and spending time with her closest friends in the community. Sylvia was a lover of reading, animals and spent most of her time enjoying her pets throughout her life. Sylvia was very fond of plants and bird watching. Spring and Summer were her favorite seasons, as she knew there would be many birds to watch out her window. Sylvia was a loving big sister that cared for and loved each one of her siblings greatly all her life.
Sylvia was the eldest of eight and is survived by her siblings Evelyn Brassard, Harold Lennerton and his wife Paula, Janice Durke and husband Bob, Cheryl Lajoie and her husband Paul, Diane Lajoie and her husband Bob, and her baby sister Michelle Giorgi. She is also predeceased by her sister Janie Ratta and husband Gordon Ratta, and her late brother-in-law Bob Brassard.
Sylvia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Sylvia is survived by her four sons Candido Jerry Colon and his wife Cheri, Randy Steven Colon and his wife Debbie, Johnny Raymond Colon and his wife Meghan, and Christopher Jerry Colon. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews as well as several grand nieces and nephews.
Sylvia is predeceased by her late son Michael Kenneth Colon, who she missed dearly, and her late husband Candido Colon.
Sylvia will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2pm in the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 99 Riverneck Rd. Chelmsford.
