Violet L. (Jutras) Ogiba, age 92, a resident of Dracut, passed away at The Arbors Assisted Living in Dracut on Saturday, January 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew Henry Ogiba with whom she enjoyed 70 years of marriage until his passing in 2021.

She was born in Lowell on April 4, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Regina (Laforest) Jutras.

She met her future husband Henry at the Giant Store in Lowell. They married on May 12, 1951. They purchased a home in Dracut in 1963 where they raised 5 children. When the children were young, Violet stayed home to take care of them while Henry worked as a General Manager of the Waltham Supermarket. They purchased a second home in Port Charlotte, FL where they became snowbirds for 30 years. There they made amazing memories with their children and grandchildren. Violet was also devoted to the Virgin Mary and prayed the rosary daily.

Violet is survived by her five children, Michael Ogiba and his wife Kathy (Hanson) of Hudson, NH, Joan Pennace and her husband Tom of N. Andover, Michelle Zebniak and her husband Joe of Dracut, Debbie Hartnett and husband Tom of Westford, and Lisa DeNeill and her husband Greg of Merrimack, NH; and her eleven loving grandchildren. She recently became a great grandmother to two great grandchildren, Olive and Tayson, who brought her joy in her last year. She was also cared for by her very special friend Donna Smith of Pelham, until her passing.

She is predeceased by her husband, Andrew Henry Ogiba and her sisters, Beatrice Lague, Rita Murphy, and Therese Dastous.
